Week 7 Music Reflection

Day 1:
29th May 2012

Theory: Today some people had to redo their "Solo playing western song" because they didn't play the song that well on 24th May.
Instrument: We didn't have instrument class because we didn't have time due to people who had to redo.

Day 2:
31st May 2012

Theory: Today we had to fill in a lot of assessment booklet, and it is about our work, how well we did it, and more. We didn't have instrument class because of this.

Week 6 Music Reflection

Day 1:
22nd May 2012

Theory: Today we discussed about the assessment, and I practiced the song "Andantino"
Instrument: In instrument class, we practiced the songs that we will play on 24th May (assessment day)

Day 2:
24th May 2012

Theory: Today we did the assessment, i thought i played the song well. i thought i had 1 mistake, and i was scared that 1 mistake will ruin my score.
Instrument: Today we didn't have instrument class.

Week 5 Music Reflection

Day 1:
15th May 2012

Theory: Today a few people performed "Solo playing western song" as a practice again in front of the class for the next assessment.
Instrument: We didn't have instrument class today.

Week 4 Music Reflection

Day 1:
8th May 2012

Theory and Instrument: Today we only had 10-15 minutes of instrument class, and we used the 10-15 minutes to practice the song that we will play for the assessment.

Day 2:
10th May 2012

Theory: We discussed about being discipline, Mr. John also told us to update the blog once we get the reflection.
Instrument: Today I practiced "Andantino" for the next assessment which will be on the 24th May.

Week 5 Music Reflection

Day 1:
1st May 2012

Theory: Today we all had an open book test on Johann Sebastian Bach. We had to answer the questions with the information given.
Instrument: Today we didn't have instrument class because of the open book test.

Week 4 Music Reflection

Day 1:
24th April 2012
Theory: Today Mr. John and Mr. Herry explained to us about our coming next 4 assessments.
Instrument: We started planning on what song to play for "Solo playing western song"

Day 2:
26th April 2012

Theory: Today we had the assessment, a test in booklet where questions were given about Barouqe Composers. I was able to do it!
Instrument: We didn't have instrument class because we had the written booklet test.

Week 3 Music Reflection

Day 1:
17th April 2012
Theory: Today we practiced singing "Santa Lucia". This song is for us to sing for the assessment.
Instrument: Today we did not have any instrument class because we had to practice "Santa Lucia".
Day 2:
19th April 2012
Theory: Today we did the assessment, pair by pair. I sang with Alfreno, and we went first. I was happy with my performance. Today we didn't have instrument class because we had the assessment.

Week 2 Music Reflection

Day 1:
10th April 2012
We practiced the assessment song "Santa Lucia" today. i struggled a little bit singing this song but after that i was able to do it.

Day 2:
12th April 2012

 We got the assessment schedules, and today we revised on last meeting, practicing and memorizing "Santa Lucia".

Theory: Today some people had to redo because they didn't play well which affects them getting a bad score.

Day 2:
27th March 2012

Today I did not learn anything because I was absent.

20th March 2012

Today, we were asked to perform our compositions on front of the class. I was happy that i was able to play my composition well.

15th March 2012

Today, we were told our scores for our assessment, the baroque composers task booklet.

13th March 2012

Today we practiced our movement compositions again but this time, we were asked to by Mr.John. We also recorded our compositions into the keyboard for the PE assessment.

8th March 2012

Today we were asked to show our movements  in music class and we arranged the groups by Mr. Sadrakh.

6th March 2012

We had to choose one of our compositions for the IDU project. Some people were also asked to play their compositions.

28th February 2012:


Today we discussed about who's composition we are going to play and record in each group. We also took pictures singing "Hari Merdeka". Mr. John reminded us to submit/complete our reflections, the ones we are going to post in the blog.

23rd February 2012:


Today we submitted both our assessments. They are the booklet of Baroque Composers and the Medoly from the Finale Program.

21st February 2012:


Today we got the chords and some examples for our melody making.

16th February 2012:


Today we completed all our reflections and write it to our journal. We also downloaded the Finale Program.

14th February 2012:


We just learned and discussed about our next assessments. We also learned what we will do for the next assessment.

9th February 2012:


We got the Baroque Composers assessment/task and we discussed about it.

7th February 2012:


Today we learned how to write chords and all the other and different scales

2nd February 2012:


We received our assessment submission schedule and discussed all about it as a class.

31st January 2012:


Today we learned on how to actually write C Major Scale, G Major Scale, D Major Scale, and A Major scale.

26th January 2012:


Today we did the singing assessment, we sang the song "Hari Merdeka". I enjoyed this assessment and i was happy with my score for this assessment.

24th January 2012:


Today we reviewed about the major scales, and intervals from mostly last weeks's lesson.

19th January 2012:


Today we learned about major scales and write the important things in our music book.

17th January 2012:


Today we had to sing "Hari Merdeka" as a class and also in groups. Rather than that, we chose the instruments we want to play for the instrument class.
